Join me, Justin Cascio, and film maker Gina Cunningham for a screening of her debut film, “Pasqualina of Springfield” at the Springfield City Library, East Forest Park branch, on October 30, 2023 6-7 PM.
Gina Cunningham is a native of Springfield, Massachusetts, where her great-aunt Pasqualina Albano was the boss of a Mafia bootlegging gang during Prohibition. She interviews her family members, including Genovese gangster Mario Fiore and others involved in the life. I appear in the film as a Mafia historian and an expert on the life of Pasqualina Albano.
I’m excited for the opportunity to share this touching, entertaining, funny, and thought-provoking film with the community of Springfield, MA, where it all happened. Gina and I will both be on hand to answer your questions following the screening.
